If you are interested in reading an article by Edward Faser, it looks like Fesser, FESER,

but it's pronounced Faser.

It's a lengthy and I would say quite helpful article in debunking the claims that are

made by some Catholics that Pope Benedict XVIth is still Pope and that Pope Francis is an

anti-Pope. And he does a really good job of sort of slicing and dicing this.

And I'd like to read some of it to you, just because it's something that some people, you know, they struggle with.

And, you know, let's face it, the last nine years have been unusual in many respects,

and things have happened in the Catholic Church that are, in some ways very difficult to try to understand or try to explain. And some people have made the mistake

of saying, well, the only way to explain it is that Pope Benedict didn't really resign his office.

And Faser gets into one of these theories here, and that Pope Benedict is really

the real Pope, and Pope Francis is an anti-Pope, and, you know, it's understandable, at least in one sense,

why some people would be seeking a way to resolve what they perceive to be some serious problems going on in the church

in recent years.

And so what Faser does is he goes into this and he tries to make some sense out of it,

and I'm going to share it with you some sections from this.

So he says, I can't, he says, actually I'll skip that part there, he identifies some terms

that are commonly used.

One is called Benevocantism, the theory that Benedict, the 16th, is still Pope, so that
