It's damn true.

Mike, we have two major stories in all the wrestling to talk about, the NXT War Games,

pay-per-view event just finished up, but I'd like to lead with the passing of Paterson.

I first saw the news on Twitter from Tony Marinero, who is a host of the Montreal Forum on TSN and Montreal.

He wrote that Paterson had passed away at age 79 in a Miami hospital

earlier this week. Now, Bruce Pritcher and Conrad Thompson did a fabulous something to wrestle

podcast on Paterson, and they added much more details to his life and what he meant to wrestling

than I think either one of us could.

From my perspective, Mike,

and we'll get your thoughts here in a moment,

I never met Pat Patterson at the post-Resslemania party in New Orleans.

I was going to go up to him and introduce myself,

but I didn't because he always had a circle people around him.

And those people who were around him were much more important than I was.

So I deferred.

And I know I made the right choice to.

But as far as Pat Patterson goes, the term influencer gets used a lot as far as social media impact goes.
