| 0:00.0 | Hi, this is Hank Hennigraph, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the Bible Insoment broadcast with another Hank unplug short. |
| 0:24.1 | I've been talking about passages in the year 2021, and I've saved this passage for last. It has to do with an employee of the Christian Research Institute. His name was Rick Morgan. Perhaps I should say |
| 0:44.9 | his name is Rick Morgan, because though he is no longer present, he continues to exist in eternity. And one day, when Jesus appears a second time, |
| 1:02.3 | his soul will return to his body, that body will be resurrected, immortal, imperishable, incorruptible. |
| 1:14.5 | And so though he is no longer in flesh, he continues as one of that great cloud of witnesses. |
| 1:25.5 | St. Paul said, because we're surrounded by those witnesses, let us throw off |
| 1:31.3 | everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance |
| 1:38.9 | the race marked out for us, which is precisely what Rick did. |
| 1:44.7 | He was our webmaster. |
| 1:47.1 | And as I talked to employees who were remembering his contribution to our ministry, |
| 1:56.5 | they constantly communicated his calm and patient demeanor, his resolve to get things done for the |
| 2:07.2 | glory of God. |
| 2:09.6 | Well, Rick contracted COVID, along with his wife, Cindy. |
| 2:15.9 | Cindy is the daughter of Walter Martin, the founder of our ministry. |
| 2:21.9 | And so Rick is Walter Martin's son-in-law. They both contracted COVID. |
| 2:28.6 | But Rick did not make it. He made it out of the hospital and died shortly thereafter. We remember his contribution to |
| 2:37.4 | this ministry. It was substantial. And we pray for his family that God's grace and goodness will |
| 2:47.0 | surround them during this time of grieving. |
| 3:02.6 | And in remembering Rick, we remember our own mortality as well, that each of us will stand before the throne of God and give an account for what we did while in the flesh, whether good or bad. |
| 3:13.4 | I pray that you will live your life as you listen to this Hank Unplugged Short in light of eternity. |
| 3:23.9 | So long for now. |
