Hi, everyone. This is Curtis, and I am excited to tell you about a new feature of the GoodFaith podcast, and it's called Campfire Stories.

Now, in a great campfire, everyone has the opportunity to share their stories. And so, in Campfire Stories, we want to hear from you.

We want to hear a story about what you are doing along the themes of the GoodFaith podcast, perhaps it's something about how you're living out your relationships with political polarization, how you are trying to reflect the image of God in your institution and organization, or what you're doing with your money, or your vocation, anything that has been sparked by the themes that we've covered here in the GoodFaith podcast is fear game.

It doesn't matter if it's a big story, a small story, or something in between, as long as it's a story about what you are doing in your life.

We're not so much interested in hearing just thoughts, we want to hear stories of doing.

So, we'll put a link in the show notes where you can just click on it and then supply us the basic outlines of your story of doing, of living out the themes of GoodFaith podcast.

And we'll look at it and we may invite you to share that story on a GoodFaith blog, a social media, or perhaps even invite you to come on the GoodFaith show yourself and talk to me and share your story.

Welcome to the GoodFaith podcast. I'm David French with Curtis Chang. And if you hear things that sound a little bit different, I'm on the road. I'm in San Diego right now and it's beautiful.

The weather in San Diego is incredible. No one tells you that Curtis.

I think everyone tells you that David.

It's actually amazing.

So, we're going to have, we've kind of been popping all over the place in our topics the last few weeks. Two weeks ago, we talked about classical liberalism and liberal democracy and Christianity.

And then yesterday, yesterday, last week, we had Andy Crouchon for a fantastic conversation about technology and theology. And he still never answered the question of how many hours I should be on Instagram.

But it was a remains a mystery.

It does. I mean, the one thing I wanted, but that was a great conversation. And today, we're going to talk about something that a danger that I call the partisan mind.

In other words, what is the danger of the partisan mind to a believer? What, what are the pitfalls? What is the partisan mind?

The pitfalls of the partisan mind. And, and I first started talking about this Curtis pre pandemic, I was speaking at Christian universities, still speaking at Christian universities, but this was a pre pandemic speech.

And one of the questions was, as we students are leaving college and going out into the world and getting engaged politically, what's a piece of advice that you have for you that you have for us. And I said, avoid and shun the partisan mind.

And that does not mean don't vote for Republican or Democrat. It doesn't even mean don't vote. I mean, don't run for office as a Republican or Democrat.

But I'm talking about a specific mindset. And you and I have been talking about this a lot. And we thought we'd do a podcast about it. And, and so, you know, let's, let's get started on, on thinking this through.
