been having conversations with my wife, Samantha, the co-parent of my two

boys. We do it over in the Daily Stoic studio here in Bastrop, Texas. She and I talk about things

that we're working on as parents, things that we're working on as people, and how we are supporting

each other, challenging each other, and like I said, trying to get

better at what we do.

Hey, it's Ryan. Welcome to another episode of the Daily Dad podcast. We were just home for this freeze and it was a little crazy. My kids were like, we want to go outside and stomp around in the snow,

put on all our stuff. I put them in these jumpsuits and the boots and the socks and the gloves and

the hats. And it was a lot. It was a lot. And one of the things Samantha pointed out is she was like, they'd go outside more if we were more excited about them going outside. We were both sort of independently realized like, this is a pain in the ass to get them all ready to go. But like, what we want is on the other side of that, right? Going outside, having a little adventure, exploring all of that. So we did that yesterday. We did it again today. And I don't know, it sort of reminded me of something I talked about when Jesse Itzler was on the podcast. And he talked about some rules he has. And he says, one of his rules is I'm never too tired for my kids. Never too tired to go out and play catch. Never too tired to drive them somewhere they need to go. Never too tired to do something for or with them. And that's what I was thinking about as I was, you know, I got them all dressed and then I have to go the bathroom and then I have to do it all again. This is it. This is what we signed up for and we're going to be happy on the other side of it, so let's put up with it. He had a great interview on the
