Things are getting going on the Senate approval of the Trump cabinet slate up today, and I got a chance to watch some of it,

the hearing with Pete Hegset. And, well, my take on it is that Hegset is doing just fine.

I saw some exchanges with Elizabeth Warren, Maisie Hirono, and a couple of others,

Christian Gillibrand. And HECSeth has a good sense of balance of repartee. The vulnerability that the Democrats are going to try to

exploit is he's had a somewhat tumultuous family life. But guess what? We're in an era,

and this is not a good thing, where unfortunately this is relatively common, and not only this, but

it is relatively common among elected officials. And if I may say so, it is even more common
