0:41.8	through R.C. Sproul's study of theology, and in particular his
0:45.1	overview of the person and work of the Holy Spirit, today he
0:48.8	helps us understand the role of the Spirit as our Helper, our
0:52.5	Helper, and our Helper. In the Holy Spirit, we have a
0:57.5	little advocate here's Dr. Sproul. In the 15th chapter of John's
1:02.5	gospel, Jesus has a discussion of several things, but one of the
1:07.5	central points that he discusses in this discourse is hate. That
1:13.6	may seem strange to us because we're accustomed to thinking of
1:17.6	the centrality of love in the teaching of Jesus and certainly in
1:22.6	the 15th chapter, Jesus is talking about the hatred that the
1:27.5	world had for him. And as a consequence of that hatred that the
1:34.7	world expressed toward Jesus, Jesus now in this upper room
1:38.5	discourse, is alerting his disciples to what they may expect
