0:37.0	Our lecture for today is Surat Al-Araf verse 176 and 177.
0:44.0	And this is a very to be honest scary parable.
0:50.0	It is a parable or it is a similar to that should send shivers down all of our spines.
0:55.0	It is one of the harshest similitudes in the whole Qur'an.
1:00.0	And our scholars when they mention this, you can sense the fear and the dread when they're making a shara' of this similitude.
1:08.0	And Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says,
1:14.0	Tell them the story of the one whom we gave him all of our signs and miracles.
1:20.0	He had knowledge from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
1:23.0	Allah blessed him with the knowledge of, this is a Torah, this is the Bani Israel,
1:28.0	Fansalachaminha.
1:30.0	And rather than follow that knowledge, he turned around and abandoned all of it.
1:36.0	In Salachamins, he literally peeled off.
1:39.0	He abandoned completely.
1:41.0	And we'll tell you the story of who this person is.
1:45.0	Once he took out the protection of knowledge, once he abandoned,
1:50.0	what Allah gifted him of the knowledge of the Torah,
1:53.0	Shaitan followed him all the way to the end.
1:56.0	He was the one who caused him to be destroyed.
2:00.0	If we had willed, we could have raised this man's ranks high up.
2:07.0	Why? Because knowledge raises people's ranks.
