All right, welcome. This is the Mark Series Part 45, and we're actually just in Mark 12, but I think all the hours have been well worth it and

we're about to dig into another one. This is the parable of the vineyard. It's probably

Jesus's most backhanded of his parables and I mean because the people he's telling the parable to

Well, you'll see you'll see this is a very in your face way that Jesus handles these leaders and I want us to understand it

understand how it connects to the Old Testament to Isaiah 5 in particular I think

that's significant but also probably the most important parts can be

application into our lives and that's the thing

that's been more heavy on my heart as I'm preparing this and thinking about this, that really

the application of not making the same mistake that these guys are making is huge and I hope that I can communicate that well today. So here we are

in Mark chapter 12 and admittedly today's study is not as click-bait worthy as some of the more recent ones have been, but we want

Mark, not Matthew.

But this is ultimately about just studying and understanding the passage of scripture before us,

understanding it in the setting of Mark altogether, understanding it in the context of the whole Bible,

and then applying it into our lives so we can get the brain and the heart of the text.

So here we are Mark chapter 12 verse 1 where Jesus tells the parable of the vine growers

or the parable of the vineyard you know Jesus is parable where Jesus'

the Parable of the Vine growers or the Parable of the Vineyard,

you know Jesus' Parables didn't come with names

and so we don't have names that he gave us.

Well, in some cases, but not in this case.

Here it just says he began to speak to them in parables.
