And on today's edition of the Word for today, Pastor Chuck continues with the parable of the ten virgins, as we pick up in Matthew, chapter 25 verse 1.

And now with today's message, here's Pastor Chuck.

So we turn now to Matthew's Gospel, chapter 25.

In the 24th chapter of Matthew's Gospel, the disciples came to Jesus

and asked him what would be the signs

that would precede the destruction of the temple and then the signs of thy coming and the end of

the age. He had just left the scribes and the Pharisees and told them that they would not

see him again until they said, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. And so Jesus was

referring to another coming, and so the disciples were questioning, what will be the signs of thy coming in the end of the age?

And so he proceeded to tell them the various signs that would indicate his return.

And then having given to them many of the signs and the events that would take place prior to his return,

his coming in clouds of glory to establish God's kingdom upon the earth.

He then said to his disciples that the important thing for them was they should be watching and they should be ready

because they will not know the day or the hour that the son of man is coming.

Paul wrote to us in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5.
