Summary
Bloated, rotting plague corpses are fired over the defensive walls of a besieged city in the world’s first use of chemical warfare! In this episode, Neil takes us to the port city of Kaffa, in the Crimea, as residents flee aboard ships and head right across Europe. With them travels the highly infectious bubonic plague, throwing a deadly spiders web across Europe and unleashing a virus that kills half the continent's population – the Black Death arrives!
