Hey guys, today on the Jada Edwards podcast, we're going to be talking about the overlooked power of a wife.

Wives have a lot of power in marriage.

And a lot of times we don't really know what it is or how to use it.

So let's check out this conversation. So recently, some friends and I were just talking about marriage, the marriage journey.

Some of us have been married under five years, some around that 10, 15 year mark, and some are

over that 20 year mark. And we're just talking about the different seasons of what marriage looks

like for us as women, as we grow and evolve and how that how that affects our marriages.

And one of the things that just became an interesting topic was how often we kind of get stuck into this rut or a routine.

And it's usually because most of us, even those of us who love Jesus, you know, with our whole heart,

most of us don't get married for the reasons that God wants us to be married.

Not that the marriage is ungodly.

I mean, sometimes we're marrying unbelievers, so there's that.

But then there's other times that even if you have two believers who love the Lord,

they're getting married because at some point

they've decided that the other one is an answer to their pain or an answer to their priorities.

You want a person that has a certain career or a person that can speak to things that may have been

deficient in your past, a person that

you think coming together is going to be a materialistic upgrade. I mean, sometimes, if we're

really being godly, we're really digging in deep, we can see the mission or the assignment

that God may have for in a marriage, but that might not often be the number

one reason we get married. We usually are glad that someone makes us happy. Someone speaks to

what's important to us and they're Christian. So it's like plus winning. So because we get our
