Saint Corinthians and Chapter 8, I'd like to pick up again on the idea and the concept of generosity.

And of course, any time we approach the idea of giving and generosity, for those of us that follow Jesus and worship Jesus,

it's imperative for us to recall again that we are generous because our God is so generous.

They call this the giving season.

They call this the season of giving and caring

and this is the time you're supposed to open doors for people

this is the time you're supposed to give to charity but I actually believe that is

every time and every season. We're going to be a generous community So I'd like to lean into this passage again.

In fact, last week we looked at 2nd Corinthians chapter 9.

This week, I'd like to look at 2nd Corinthians chapter 8.

Chapter 8 and 9 of 2nd Corinthians are probably, in fact I think

it's almost unanimously agreed upon. They are the two most formidable, powerful, clear, and, how should I say,

action-packed section of scripture on the subject of generosity, giving, and money.

And so it's anytime you kind of want to get the heart behind not only Jesus,

but of course the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write 2nd Corinthians 8 and 9.

If you want to get the heart of our God on the subject of money and giving, you go to

2nd Corinthians 8 and 9 and you're going to pick up on it real quick. 2 Corinthians, chapter 8.
