Marcel Andre Henri Felix Petio was born on January 17, 1897 in Oxell, Ion, France.

His parents were Felix, Iranian, Mustioli, Petio,

and his mother was Marta Marie Constance Josephine Bourdon.

It was their wish to have a son and they showered all the affection and material comfort they could muster on to him.

Marcel was remembered as an intelligent and precocious child, a fast learner, and insatiably curious.

This was apparent to his school teachers, but he was also noted for being a disruptive presence in the classroom.

Not only did he not recognize the authority the teachers had over him, but he would talk over them and challenge them constantly.

He didn't even consider them peers.

He thought he was born knowing more than them, despite his comparably limited life experience.

Soon they overlooked his intellectual gifts and saw him only as a recalcitrant troublemaker.

On some occasions he would argue with the teacher for as long as a week, as a result he was suspended from school on many occasions.

Neither of Marcel's parents knew what to do about his behavior.
