It's Jeremy here from the Sick Boy podcast of the E1 podcast network.

And this week, we're going to throw it to a bit of a different episode than normal.

We weren't actually recording this one in our home recording studio.

We actually traveled somewhere else in the city to this like basically this empty warehouse

to conduct a conversation with our new pal,

Dr. Mark Tyndall, and Mark is the director of the British Columbia Center for Disease Control.

Basically, we have this lovely chat about the very serious, very scary opioid epidemic happening across the world, really.

And what makes this episode a bit different is obviously we're not in the recording studio.

We're in this sort of empty space that is being and and moved into by dispension industries

which is a company that is building these these machines that will be used for

dispensing THC marijuana products once they they go the government goes public. That's the idea behind these

machines. But Dr. Mark Tyndall actually came on the show to talk about how they're looking at

using these machines to potentially dispense methadone or other uses of treatment for harm reduction in the city of Vancouver.

Really fascinating episode. Controversial for sure. There was a couple of comments on our

Facebook live stream that it didn't sit well with some people. But hey, you know what?
