| 2:04.0 | Yeah, really my sons I've just turned a year so it feels like you know just a really great time to sort of close that loop. So take us to wherever you want to start. This was your third baby. You've had a pretty wild ride over the last couple of years so take us to yeah the start of motherhood for you. |
| 2:26.8 | Okay so my oldest daughter is almost seven and when I got pregnant I was living in Washington DC and I was working in a hospital as an inpatient physical therapist. |
| 2:38.0 | And one of the incentives that the hospital had for employees was if you birth there you would not see a bill. |
| 2:46.4 | It would be free essentially anything that insurance didn't cover. |
| 2:50.0 | And so that was a big incentive for most employees, but at the time I was like kind of, you know, dipping my toes in the water of being, you know, interested in natural birth. |
| 2:59.6 | And so we sought out some midwives that practiced in a different hospital and that felt really edgy for us at the time. |
| 3:07.5 | So we would pay the out of network cost and that was fine and we actually ended up moving. |
