as we read this lofty word.

Hebrew chapter 11, it's affectionately known

as the chapter of the lifestyles, the lifestyles of the righteous

and faithful.

You'll learn all about them. And of course the Bible tells us in the book of

Romans chapter 15 around verse 4 that all of these things that have been

written down in scripture have been written down for our learning

that we might take hold of those promises and studying the word of God and that we might have

hope.

God's promises are given to us that we might have hope. God's promises are given to us that we might have hope.

And as we look to Hebrew 11, we're going to be talking about faith through the entire

chapter. It's about faith. In fact, the title of this entire chapter is the only kind of

faith that works. And that is a very probing, probing statement. Many people today say they

have faith and we need to counter right back as we studied this last time together by asking the question

if you have faith
