This might be the very first time I've ever uploaded a story on a Monday, which is funny because Monday is usually the day I'm aiming for, and yet somehow it always ends up being near the end of the week.

Today's story features characters named after listeners Wadi, chess pillow, and Theodore.

I've also got bonus shoutouts to make and double bonus shoutouts.

Since I needed a list of names to use within the story, it ended up turning into a shoutout section of its own.

Let's get into it.

This is the story of what happened when a boy named Wadi was the only kid in his class to show up for school.

And no, this didn't happen on a Saturday.

The day had started like any other day.

Wadi had flopped out of bed and rolled the entire way to the breakfast table,

where he sat in his usual spot eating cereal and drinking juice, all while ignoring 32 reminders from his parents to hurry up and get dressed. Why can't I just get dressed after school? Or better yet,

how about never? Then you won't have to give me 32 reminders tonight

"'to put my pajamas back on.

"'It'll be a win for everybody.'

"'Even the bus ride to school felt the same as it usually did.

"'Kids, it's not even eight o'clock in the morning yet,

"'and I haven't had my coffee.

...
