So why is this important today?

It is important because today is the 365 day anniversary of me

quitting my job. So it has been one full calendar year since the day that I left corporate

America and went out on my own. I made the big leap. I made the jump. I made the plunge,

whatever analogy you feel like using, but I am still not bankrupt. So that's great for me.

It's great for y'all. Great for everyone as a team, as a family together. But seriously,

Cass, I'm trying to celebrate small wins along the journey. And the fact that I went and did this

travel thing, it cost about $72,000 all in for me to do the trip for seven months. So basically 10 grand a month, which is way more

than my normal expenses. The fact that I was able to do that, I'm still not bankrupt, and I was

able to move to Austin, Texas. Something worked, right? And I've been looking forward to doing this

episode because it was one thing to leave my job, right? It was one thing to post and do all the

pictures. And that was cute. It was adorable. And we can get

into that in this episode. But I wanted to make sure it had legs. I wanted to make sure I had

longevity and it was something that can be maintained because it's one thing to leave your job.

It's a whole separate thing to be able to stay out of your job. So today I'm going to go

over some best practices and lessons learned about the process of going from one entrepreneur to entrepreneur,

leaving that corporate job and transitioning full time into being self-employed over this last year.

But first, I want to do a small clip of a podcast episode that I did one year ago when I left

so you guys can hear the difference between me today and me back then.
