Hello, quite sad day today, for some, if like me,

you're a massive friends fan,

and kind of always thought the seventh friend really was Gunther, the barista, in the coffee shop.

He died today, the actor James Michael Taylor, who starred as Gunther, has died at the age of 59.

And tributes have been flooding in, of course, from cast members and fans from all around the world.

And I must say, you know, not a week goes by really when I don't kind of catch up on an episode of friends just for some downtime and for a giggle.

I think it's worth us remembering and celebrating his life and we can do that with writer and performer Brendan Murphy, who is starring in a one-man show which

takes Gunther's life and gets him seeing how the friends behave.

I can imagine it would be a very dry telling of a story. Brendan I meant that in the most

positive way as well because Gunther's dry wit I mean that's what I loved

about him. Oh yeah absolutely he was always understated

giving a dead pan delivery and sort of in contrast to a lot of what the other actors and characters on the show were

doing. How important was it because he starred in a ridiculous number of episodes?

Absolutely, yeah I think he was in 185 out of 236 episodes, so more episodes than any

of the character outside of the main six. I think he was the seventh friend that's what I'm going to say.

How good is your knowledge when it comes to Gunther? I mean I'd like to think that it's pretty good.
