All right, in my opinion, the lead story from the weekend has to do with a deliberate unmasking of an anonymous source,

the FBI promised to protect this is from the New York Times.

And they say shortly after the Buzzfeed publication of the steel dossier in 2017,

which we all remember, an expert in Russian politics told the FBI he had been a key source for the steel dossier.

The FBI had approached the expert, a man named Igor Danchenko.

And they did this as they vetted the dossier's claims.

He agreed to tell investigators what he knew with one important caveat that, you know,

and this is according to people who are familiar with the matter, his caveat is that the FBI keep his identity a secret so he could protect himself and his sources
