Welcome to Bomfell. I'm Erin Simpson. I'm Warren DeYoung-Shallman. And we are back in Washington, D.C. this weekend, which is oh so lovely, even if it is 90 degrees outside. Unfortunately, Rada is not feeling well and is unable

to join us this morning, which is a total bummer, but she lives in a biohazard war zone of small

children. So I guess these things are going to happen. In her absence, Lauren, what are we drinking?

0:39.8

We have, it is 10 in the morning on a Sunday, so we're drinking a tropical bland Italian soda from Whole Foods. And it's lovely. I'm also having a blue moon because Aaron inspired me with the fact that you can drink beer in the morning. I mean, you can.

1:25.8

He had clearly thought about what he was putting into

1:27.7

the drink as to what symbolized this... The English and the American and the everything sort of

the bitterness. It was what the Frenet, I think, was for something along those lines. So we love it

1:39.2

when we inspire. We drive people to drink. That's really what we aspire to here on bombshell. We are very lucky today to have

1:48.5

Airswile friend of the show, Elsa, Kanya, joining us. So, hello, Elsa. Good morning. Glad to be here.

1:55.4

Elsa is an adjunct with me at the Center for New American Security, as well as somehow managing to fit in being a PhD student at Harvard and the government program.

2:04.4

Yeah, this is not something that would have been consistent with my experience in that home department.

2:09.5

It wasn't a bad PhD student, to be perfectly honest.
