Summary

Last year, Jenny Jay and Sarah sat down to get comfortable with uncomfortable conversations. Listening back, they both realized it was time to revisit the conversation, what went right, what went wrong, being, and doing better as we grow. While many listeners met Jenny last year in that episode, a LOT has changed since then. A photographer and videographer, Jenny has grown in her activism; her work has been among some of the most shared over the course of the Black Lives Matter movement as well as her call out of JK Rowling. Get comfortable, we’re about to get uncomfortable, again.

I know, I'm so glad we're doing this because after I relistened to our episode this morning

1:01.7

and it was so funny that even listening to myself in that episode trying so hard to get things right

1:09.4

that I almost was like speaking over you trying to get things right. It was important for me.

1:14.7

I honestly thought that I did so well during that episode and then listening back it actually

1:19.6

really showed a lot of, I don't know, I'm going to pat my own back for like two seconds,

1:24.5

progression in the way that how wrong I was and some of the ways that I approached things. So

1:29.2

I thought, you know, we talked about the fact of you coming back on and let's kind of do an update

1:33.9

1:40.2

great conversation a year ago, so much has happened since then, so much has happened and obviously

1:45.8

the world and it's really excited to have you back. Yeah, I relistened to the podcast episode

1:52.8

just before this we were recording as well and it was, it was so interesting just to hear it back

2:00.0

and just see the way I also would navigate a conversation. I think at a different time in space when

2:08.6

like the information just wasn't out there so yeah so readily and people weren't necessarily
