Summary
By pure coincidence, BOTH Meagan and Sarah have kids with broken bones right now – so we’re here to talk about it! We discuss the current injury situation in each of our homes, and reflect back on other kid-injuries that have occupied that tricky space in between “rub some dirt on it” and “call the ambulance”. From stitches to sprains, bumps to the head and busted lips, we know raising kids involves a lot of injuries, and that it can be tough on parents to know what to do in the moment. Today’s stories all ended well – we promise! – but we’re here to validate that parenting an injured kid can be tough, both in the moment of decision as well as in the aftermath. Join us!

| 0:05.2 | little to grown. We're in different areas of the country and in different stages |
| 0:09.0 | of life, but we both know that motherhood's a lot easier when real moms share |
| 0:12.7 | tips and encouragement. And remind you that it's really all gonna be okay. We're |
| 0:16.6 | not experts. We're parents who've been there. We're not perfect. We're real. |
| 0:19.9 | Welcome to the Mom Hour. |
| 0:23.0 | Hey everyone and welcome to episode 316 of the Mom Hour. I'm Sarah Powers here |
| 0:28.1 | with Megan Francis. Hey Megan. Hey Sarah. So I'm really excited about this |
| 0:34.0 | episode. The title, if you've seen the title, we actually haven't totally agreed |
| 0:38.5 | on the title, but it's something about how we broke our children, correct? Yes. |
| 0:42.0 | And I have to say that both of us have a broken child right now, but we didn't |
| 0:47.4 | break them. No, that's true. And I had nothing to do with it. I wasn't even in |
| 0:51.8 | the same county. Me neither. I was in the same county, but I was not in the |
| 0:55.5 | same vicinity. But I have to say it's rare that we come up with an episode |
| 1:00.2 | topic based on something that's really currently happening in both of our |
| 1:04.0 | houses. Unless it's something obvious, like Christmas or back to school, then |
| 1:07.6 | of course, we're going to do the seasonal stuff. But yeah, Violet broke her a |
| 1:12.5 | bone near her ankle. Owen broke a bone near his hip. We're going to get into |
| 1:16.8 | all this within four days. So we were like, why don't we talk about broken |
| 1:21.3 | bones? And that's how we got here, friends. Yep. And then I guess that also kind |
| 1:25.6 | of then opens the door to stitches. And you know, all the booboos that are |
| 1:31.1 | beyond that are we can talk about the simple booboos too. But like really the |
