You want to know what's really holding you back from success?

All the shit you assume.

We're going to make this podcast a little bit shorter, a little bit sweeter,

and I'm going to try to, you know, tell you guys a story of something that was a really important lesson on my journey.

It was a mind frame I had for so long that held me back for years.

So I'm going to take you guys back. I am a 23 year old

entrepreneur as you guys know. I'm pretty successful in some eyes and when I was

19 years old I had just lost my Mercedes. I couldn't pay the payments so I sold it and I just broke even.

And I bought a Honda Civic, right? And I remember I was driving my Honda Civic right by Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California.

And I saw this young kid, right? And he was driving a brand new, I think, whatever year it was,

Audi R8. And he was young, young man and I was young at the time.

I looked like a little kid at the time and I saw him and it was funny because

instead of looking at him and being inspired and looking at him and saying, you know, what are the possibilities?

This guy could be a genius, this guy could be someone I could aspire to be like.

He could be something that pushes me forward. In my head my framework immediately said he must

have rich parents, right? This guy must already have some reason why he's my age. He looks like me and he's so much more successful

he must have rich parents he must have cheated the system he must have

you know not got lucky but he just must have had it

that was my thought I just knew he had rich parents

and so I remember I was I saw him driving and I was like fuck that guy

I was like

i was like i'm on my grind i'm an entrepreneur I'm going to get this I eventually got it but it wasn't until about six months after that I pulled up a fashion island in the Honda Civic and up pulls next to me the silver outie
