My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

Now for my second talk, it's the same title, the omnipotence of love.

And I suppose one of the most difficult things to get across when we talk about love is that

it is not a feeling.

You may have loving feelings for somebody, but that is not the great principle of sacrificial

love that the Bible teaches.

It is perfectly natural for us to have loving feelings for some people, and perfectly

natural for us to have anything but loving feelings for most people.

But God wants us to learn to love anyone with whom we have anything to do.

Luke 632, Jesus says, if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?

Even sinners love those who love them.

And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you?

Even sinners do that.

And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you?

Even sinners lend to sinners expecting to be repaid in full.

But love your enemies.

Do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back, without expecting
