Today you'll hear Marvin's 2020 interview with Roland Warren.

Warren led the National Fatherhood Initiative for 11 years and became the president and CEO of CareNet in 2012.

CareNet is the largest network of pregnancy resource centers in the

nation. And we have Marvin Olasky here now to tell us a bit more about the interview. Marvin,

hi. Hey, Jill. Well, what made you want to interview Warren? My wife, Susan, founded the Austin Crisis

Pregnancy Center in 1984. I thought we were moving to Texas

so I could teach at the University of Texas, which I did, but God, I learned, had a much bigger

plan to use Susan to make her an instrument for him and saving the lives of many, many babies over the years.

It's still going. And the pregnancy center is a CareNet member, so I've followed the organization

ever since. And when I learned about Roland and his story, I just really wanted to ask him

questions. Well, I found Roland's personal story very inspirational, and I just really wanted to ask him questions. Well, I found Roland Warren's personal story very inspirational, and I don't want to give it

away before we get into the interview, but I'm hoping you can share with us a little bit

about his background and how his journey has given him a real passion for his mission at

CareNet.

Well, Roland grew up in Ohio with no dad at home.

He made a profession of faith in Christ, but he wasn't involved in church.

When he went to Princeton, he played football there, ran track, and had a girlfriend who faced a crisis pregnancy.

And the people in the health service at Princeton were pushing her to have an abortion.

Don't throw away your college career, have an abortion, then you'll forget about it and be

able to move right on.
