Welcome to episode two of the Olasky interview. I'm Jill Nelson. Today we'll hear Marvin's

2013 interview with Christina Hoff Summers. She's a resident scholar at the American Enterprise

Institute in Washington, D.C., and the author of many books, including Who Stole Feminism,

and The War Against Boys. She is also a former professor

and is known for her critique of gender feminism and her defense of classical liberal feminism.

And we have Marvin here to share his thoughts on the interview. Marvin, great to see you.

Hi, Jill. So tell me, how did Summers land on your radar? Why did you want to interview her?

I read a book she wrote called The War Against Boys, and here's the subtitle,

How Misguided Policies Are Hurting Our Young Men. And that's true. It is terrific that more

girls and women are getting a good education, But the number of boys, the percentage of

boys graduating from high school, gaining advanced degrees, those are all falling. And Christina says

that a big problem is that schools typically are sedentary, they're competition-free,

their risk-averse.

Girls, young women have more patience for that.

It seems the boys get bored and they drop out.

And yes, good for all the women, but bad for the guys.

And those aren't very popular things to say, particularly on college campuses, I understand. She's spoken at over 100 college campuses

across the nation, and she sounds like she gets plenty of pushback from students. I'd like to play a

clip of her describing an experience at Oberlin College, where she spoke in 2015, about how

feminism has become radicalized. Here she is on real time with Bill Marr.

It's the students who come, the activists, to demonstrate, they set up safe rooms. I spoke
