Today we'll hear Marvin's 2013 conversation with Ryan and Bethany Bomberger.

They are founders of the Radiance Foundation, a pro-life organization that promotes adoption.

The group is perhaps best known for its provocative and thoughtful billboard slogans.

Let me mention just a few.

Some of the best things in life are unplanned.

Gone, 16 million and counting.

And let me preface this last one by pointing out that Ryan is African American, and this really hits home for him. The slogan is, Black children are an

endangered species. Ryan is an Emmy award-winning creative professional who wrote the 2016 book, Not Equal, Civil Rights Gone

Wrong. He was also adopted as a child. He and Bethany are now adoptive parents as well.

Here now to talk about this interview is World's Marvin Alasky. Hi, Marvin. Hi, Jill. Good to be

with you again. And sitting across from you, I remember, 16 years ago, I think,

you wrote a master's thesis at the University of Texas, which I supervised and amazingly

enough did not mess up.

You did a great job, Marvin.

I am forever grateful for your insight and guidance, and the memories of those days will live on. Well, speaking of that, Marvin,

you teach your journalism students to look for the man bites dog stories. Would you say Ryan's life

story and work fit that category? Well, absolutely. Ryan was conceived in rape. One percent of

abortions are done because of rape or incest, no more than that.

Yet we hear about that a lot.

And Ryan says, I think he puts this really well, he's tired of being the 1% used to justify 100% of abortions.
