John Ross during a raid. The official story? Self-defense. Meanwhile, the reality captured on

body cam and eyewitness video? Yes, but a young woman running for her life, a federal agent

firing three times with lethal authority and a

city left to watch as the law became something unrecognizable. And before anyone could even process it,

the protests erupted and predictably the federal response escalated. Another ice agent actually shot a man in the leg. If you're asking how a

country that likes to call itself a democracy allows this, the answer is painfully simple. When federal

agents operate like sovereigns, when elected officials cheer them on or dodge accountability, and when political
