Would you turn with me to Romans the 16th chapter this morning?

Romans 16, we started last week on a new series.

And this is our text in Romans 16, if you would look at it, the last chapter of Romans.

And down about the 26th verse, almost the last verse,

next to the last, he said Romans 1626, now is made manifest by the scriptures of the prophets

according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience

of faith.

Say that last phrase out loud with me, please.

The obedience of faith.

Again, the obedience of faith.

Now, we saw that phrase to other places in the book of Romans and you'll see

other references to believing and obeying they are connected believing and

obeying faith obeys what God said even when it doesn't understand why or doesn't see how,

when you trust somebody, you'll do what they say.

And when we trust our God, we will obey him.

And if we say we believe him, we say we have faith in him but we cannot be

persuaded to obey then we're deceiving ourselves said out loud again the obedience of faith

go to isaiah, the first chapter.

This has been growing in me for some months now, just getting bigger and bigger.

I've known it was important for a long time, but I don't think I've seen the universal scope of it, how big it really is.

And I am believing the Lord that you and I are going to grow in the knowledge of this and get revelation and understanding.
