But first, Barack and Michelle Obama back in action.

The two will attend an official ceremony at the White House today celebrating his presidential

portrait.

The paintings were unveiled in 2018 and have since been displayed at the Smithsonian and

other museums.

The visit marks the first time Michelle Obama has been inside the White House since the

end of her husband's second term in January 2017.

Crime in Portland, Oregon spiraling out of control.

The city's murder rate up 200% in the last two years.

Police confirmed at least 70 homicides in January 1st for a city of just 650,000 residents.

Despite the spike in crime, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler is vowing to hold police officers

accountable.

Said, Wheeler quote, the rising gun violence does not mean there should not be accountability.

There should be that too, unquote.
