improper handling of classified documents.

18 counts by a federal grand jury.

Eight counts of transmission of national defense information.

10 counts of retention of National Defense Information.

From April of 2018 through August of 2025, the indictment says that Bolton abused his position

as National Security Advisor by sharing more than a thousand pages of information about his

day-to-day activities as National Security Advisor,
