Here's what's happening today in America.

The media already trying to handicap the 2020 presidential election with a focus largely

on national polling.

But as 2016 showed, those surveys are notoriously unreliable, especially this early in the

race.

Ultimately, the election, of course, will be decided by a handful of swing states.

Here are the ones to keep an eye on.

First up, Arizona, the last time Arizona went for a Democrat was 1996 when it voted to

re-elect Bill Clinton.

Donald Trump won the state's 11 electoral votes in 2016 by just four points.

Florida might be the most influential state in the union because it is the most notorious

presidential battleground.

You'll remember in the year 2000, the recount debacle which ended up in the Supreme Court.

The Sunshine State awarded its 29 electoral votes twice to George W. Bush and twice

to Barack Obama.

It narrowly went for Trump last time around.

Michigan.

President Trump was the first Republican to win the state since George Bush de-eldor in

1988.

If the manufacturing sector continues to grow, President Trump has a good shot of winning

Michigan again in 2020.
