with your message today. But first, the Supreme Court has agreed to take a case regarding immigration.

There is a policy known as metering. It was rescinded by the Biden administration. But metering is

when border protection declares a lack of capacity at detention facilities, which then requires asylum seekers to wait in Mexico,

sometimes for weeks or months, before they can formally request asylum in the United States.

The Immigration and Nationality Act allows, quote, an alien who is physically present in the

United States or who arrives in the United States to apply for asylum.

But a divided appeals court last year ruled that this applies to potential asylum seekers

at ports of entry whichever side of the border they happen to be standing on.
