As soon as Wednesday, the four-person crew will launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on a 10-day journey.

The trip will lead the way for future Artemis

missions that would eventually, potentially, see astronauts step foot on the moon, and then build

a permanent lunar base. It's a 685,000 mile journey that's 27 times around the Earth. April

1st is the first opportunity to launch between 624 and 824 p.m. Eastern.

At that time, there's an 80% chance of favorable conditions.
