Social media giant YouTube announced their decision this week to crack down on videos they

claim promote extreme views.

The new guidelines eliminate posts promoting discrimination based on age, gender, race,

caste, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status, or those who deny well-documented violent

events like the Holocaust.

The ban also extends to disturbing videos aimed at children, such as the Momo Challenge

that appeared online last year.

The footage urged young teens to inflict self-harm, culminating in their eventual suicide,

how appalling.

The policy will ultimately remove upwards of about 5,000 channels across YouTube, impacting

millions of users in more than 150 countries.

The mission is nearly impossible.

Industry insiders say more than 500 hours of content is uploaded on YouTube every single

minute of every day.

This little doubt that the net is a dangerous place, particularly for children.

Decent people everywhere, objective videos featuring neo-Nazis, calling for the deaths

of Jews, blacks, Catholics, or anyone else.
