But first Democrats in Texas denying Republicans a final vote on legislation that would tighten

election rules.

The bill bans 24 hour voting, places restrictions on absentee ballots, and creates panels of

supervisors to watch poll workers on election day.

Governor Abbott says the law is necessary to ensure election integrity.

However, critics claim the bill is another example of voter suppression.

Democrats believe the rules target liberal strongholds, like Houston, making it harder

for minorities to cast ballots.

Joe Biden calling the legislation quote, part of an assault on democracy that we seem

far too often this year.

And often disproportionately targeting black and brown Americans unquote.

But a close examination of the proposed law does not support that accusation.

New infections of COVID plummeting across the USA cases down 91% since January.
