for criminal prosecution regarding mortgage documents. The director of the U.S.

Federal Housing Finance Agency sent a letter to the Attorney General Pam Bondi, citing

alleged misconduct by Schiff,

who owns homes in California and Maryland. The accusation is that the Senator falsified bank

documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, impacting payments from

2003 to 2019 for his home in Potomac, Maryland.
