The United States is home to 200 million of the planet's 2.1 billion Christians, and we

Americans are famous for our festive spirit.

According to Pew Research, more than 90% of the entire U.S. population celebrates Christmas,

even members of other religions do.

10% of non-Christian homes incorporate the holiday in some way.

About 115 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles to visit friends and family,

up double digits in the last decade.

Travel agents cite cheap fuel and a growing economy for the increase in travel.

But beware, flying home the day after Christmas is going to cost you.

If you think travel is expensive, Americans spend even more on gifts.

Researchers say most shoppers spend about $1,000 on presents between Thanksgiving and New
