That number expected to rise to 60,000 by the end of summer, despite these horrifying stats,

petty political partisanship continues.

The truth is medical experts have been sounding the alarm on a global pandemic for years, particularly

threats emerging from China's wet markets.

The world failed to mobilize because it never does.

Like history's biggest catastrophes, the warning signs went ignored because they always

do.

In 2012, the ran corporation filed a list of all existential threats against the USA.

The company found one enemy that could actually decimate the country, quote, only a pandemic

is capable of destroying America's way of life, and that was in 2012.

Three years later, Bill Gates launched a series of computer models to analyze the

biggest dangers to humanity.

The result, quote, a pandemic disease is the most predictable catastrophe in the history

of the human race.

If only because it has happened to the human race so many, many times before, unquote, said

Mr. Gates.
