0:32.4	I just returned from the 2019 National Rifle Association Convention in Indianapolis.
0:35.6	It was inspiring and joyful.
0:53.4	People from all around the country, young, old, married, single, families of two, families of ten, people of all colors, faiths, and political affiliations, all with a unique story as to why they arm themselves.
0:59.7	For those who don't know, the NRA is America's most prominent defender of our Second Amendment rights, boasting close to 5 million members.
1:04.0	They're also the largest firearms education organization in the world.
1:09.0	Once a year, at their annual convention, 80,000 sportsmen and women
1:13.1	gather to showcase and explore nearly 15 acres of guns and gear. It's an incredible spectacle.
1:24.5	But scoping out the latest sportsman wares is not the only thing that happens.
1:30.3	They also influence public policy.
1:33.3	It's a good thing we have so many committed people on our side.
1:38.3	Because never in the history of the NRA have so many powerful forces attacked us on so many different fronts. In my 25 years fighting
1:47.5	this fight, I've never seen the level of enthusiasm, energy, unmatchable money, and dishonesty
1:54.8	from the other side. They truly believe they're on the verge of accomplishing their ultimate
1:59.8	goal, destroying the Second Amendment.
2:05.1	That's Chris Cox, the executive director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action.
2:11.6	He drives the legislative agenda for the NRA, and they have the ear of several prominent government figures.
2:19.3	Here's Senator Ted Cruz.
2:21.3	One of the things we understand is the difference between good guys and bad guys.
