So this week we were entitled to ask is there a cost of living crisis or isn't there?

Because it was the autumn statement this week and it was a pretty simple statement.

In fact it was only four words really.

The election starts here. Somewhere somehow you see the

Chancellor found some tax cuts thanks to the falling rate of inflation and the

unexpectedly large amount of cash you found in the swear box at the COVID inquiry.

In May last year Rishusunak said about inflation,

There is no measure any government could take that can make these global forces disappear overnight.

Then recently his party said

We were told it wasn't possible to halve inflation but Rishi Sunak did it.
