Summary

There was a legend in central Maine, about a hermit who had lived in the woods, unseen, for 30 years. Then, in 2013, the police arrested a man named Christopher Knight.

So this story takes place on the shores of a lake.

About an hour's drive inland from the main coast called the North Pond.

The North Pond isn't big, maybe a mile long, half a mile wide.

And like a lot of lakes in the area, there aren't many folks who live there year round.

A lot of people have what they call camps.

And these are like very small cabins and it goes on for generations and generations.

This is Mike Finkle, he's a journalist.

But he says that back in the 80s in these cabins on the pond, 86, 87, things started to
