0:00.0	Hey guys. we are back with part two of our episode on the Norfolk Four. I am not going to do a really heavy recap this time because, well, we are releasing.

0:47.1	On February 22nd, 1999, a woman named Karen contacted Detective Ford because she had received
0:52.9	a letter from this man, Omar Ballard,
0:55.1	and he was currently in jail.
0:57.9	Omar may have been an ex-boyfriend of Karen's. It's really unclear, but the letter he sent
1:02.4	her was pretty vulgar and very threatening. He basically says he knows everything that's going
1:07.9	on outside jail, and he can get anyone to kill Karen if he wants to.
1:12.2	He threatened to have her killed if she didn't send sexually explicit photos of herself within a week.
1:18.1	In part of the letter, Omar wrote, quote,
1:21.1	Remember that night I went to Mommy's house and Michelle got killed?
1:25.1	Guess who did that?
1:26.5	Me.
1:27.0	Ha ha. It wasn't the first time. I'm good, aren't I? I don't give a F about nobody. If I was out, I would have killed that B down the street. In another part of the letter, he threatened that Karen would be with Michelle. Omar later admitted that he wrote this letter to Karen because he was
1:45.7	mad because she had promised to do things for him while he was in prison and she hadn't done any of
1:51.5	them. So this Omar guy, he had a really tough life, starting with when his mom gave him up when he
1:59.0	was two years old. We don't really have any more information on that.
2:02.1	That's how it's worded in the research. But he really struggled with his life after that.
2:07.6	He only made it through the 10th grade before he dropped out and started a life of crime.
2:13.2	Omar lived in New Jersey where he had a criminal record before he moved to Norfolk.
