Kabul has just fallen today.

And the rest of Afghanistan has been falling really for months,

as the Taliban have moved through province after province and taking capital after capital.

Candahar was just a couple days ago and now Kabul.

The Afghan National Army, Afghan security forces don't appear to even be putting up a fight.

And a lot of us predicted this.

A lot of us said this was exactly what would happen if we did something like this,

something like this being a very rapid withdrawal.

And I have to say this.

Look, this is what happens when simplistic slogans drive complex foreign policy.

And if you're part of the no more endless wars crowd,

that makes it feel good to yell that slogan.
