Most people, they let the past dictate who they are in the present,

and then they let the present dictate what they think is possible in the future. That's how I became a professional author. I'm the one who dictates my past, my past doesn't dictate me. And so if I can flip every experience, no matter what it was, my father being a drug addict, then I'm always anti-fragile. The one only, Ben Harder! That's howing both of the Dr. Benjamin Hardy.

I was 11 years old and my parents got divorced all my teenage years.

It was just extreme chaos.

I decided to serve a mission for my church.

That was where I really got interested in writing.

Whenever I write a book, I don't write a book that I feel like

I have mastery of it. Like I work on something that I know is going to bust me. No matter where

you're at right now, the future is going to seem out of reach. Who you are right now in the present

moment is as fleeting as the present moment. I'm just playing my own game. However far I go, I'm going to be comparing myself backwards.

You've defined the game in a winnable way.

You are always winning.

Go for bold moves because you're going for an impossible goal.

You're letting the future dictate what you do in the present.

And so when you start pursuing something impossible, first off,

you no longer operating from your past assumptions.

You don't know how.
