Summary
For generations, Caitlin’s family heard the same stories whispered through the trees: a black panther that stalked the hills, a woman’s scream that froze the night, and something darker that watched from just beyond the light. It stood tall, spined like a reptile, its black eyes reflecting the porch light as it crawled around the house—on walls, on windows—never once touching the ground.
