Have you ever noticed how a dark shadow or a strange noise can feel like a monster

until you turn on the light?

In today's episode, we're talking about superstition.

That is when we feel scared or do silly things because of old stories that aren't actually true.

Sometimes when we see something we don't understand,

our imaginations make up scary reasons for it.

But that's where science comes in.

Science is like turning on a giant flashlight.

Instead of just guessing or being afraid, we use our eyes and tools to find the real

answer. Today we'll see how asking why and looking at the facts can stop us from worrying

about things that aren't there. It turns out the world is much more interesting when we

choose to be curious instead of just being superstitious.
