Today, a story from Henry Kyler Bunner, H.C. Bunner, a great writer with a great sense of humor, giving us a story called The Nice People.

This story is from Bunner's short sixes, and it also appeared in his periodical puck in the July 30th, 1890 issue.

And now our story.

They certainly are nice people. I assented to my wife's observation, using the colloquial phrase with a consciousness that was anything but nice English.

"'And I'll bet that their three children are better brought up than most of—'

"'Two children,' corrected my wife.

"'Three,' he told me.
